The AVESCO 1st Philippine International & Philippine Friendly Memory Championship gathered some of the most skilled memory athletes from across Asia for two days of intense mental competition in Metro Manila on May 31 – June 01, 2014. Hosted at the Eurotel Hotel, the event brought together competitors from the Philippines, Indonesia, Mongolia, and beyond, showcasing exceptional feats of memory and mental discipline.
Grandmaster of Memory Mark Anthony P. Castañeda emerged as the overall champion with an impressive 5519 points, leading a highly competitive field of over 60 participants. Fellow Filipino Grandmaster Erwin G. Balines, who also holds the Asian Master of Memory title, followed closely with 5249 points, while Mongolian Grandmaster Tsogbadrakh Saikhanbayar secured third place overall with 4780 points.
