Hong Kong Open Memory Championship 2015

The Hong Kong Open Memory Championship 2015 was held in Hong Kong and brought together 122 competitors from various countries in a dynamic showcase of mental prowess and memorization skills. Among the participants, several Filipino mental athletes delivered standout performances.

Erwin G. Balines secured an impressive 4th place overall with 5,608 points, also earning top honors in the Historic Dates (Adults) discipline with 75 dates recalled, and 2nd place in Random Numbers (30 mins.) with 1,200 digits memorized.

Meanwhile, rising young memory athlete Jan Jelo Juanir finished 42nd overall with 2,482 points and claimed 1st place in the Abstract Images (Kids) event with 150 points, along with a 3rd place finish in Historic Dates (Kids) by recalling 31 dates. Fellow competitor Maynard Lim also represented the Philippines with dedication, placing 79th with 1,453 points.

These results reflect the growing strength of the Philippines in international memory sports and the commitment of its athletes to excellence in cognitive performance.
