1st Taiwan Open Memory Championship 2015

The 1st Taiwan Open Memory Championship 2015 took place from October 31 to November 1, 2015, in Taoyuan, Taiwan, gathering a total of 81 memory athletes from various countries. Among the standout participants were a contingent of talented Filipino mental athletes who delivered remarkable performances across multiple disciplines.

Mark Anthony P. Castaneda ranked 5th overall with 5,885 points, also securing 2nd place in the Adults – Names & Faces and Spoken Numbers events. Jamyla Domingo Lambunao claimed 11th place with 4,192 points, excelling in the Juniors – Random Words, Names & Faces, Spoken Numbers, and Speed Numbers, consistently taking first or second place. Jan Jelo Juanir earned the 19th spot overall with 2,696 points, finishing as the 2nd overall winner in the Kids division, and dominating events such as Random Words, Abstract Images, and Historic Dates. Other Filipino participants such as Joel Micus D. Lolong, Dorothy Elenzano, and John Philip B. Benitez also achieved high rankings in specific disciplines, showcasing the growing strength of the Philippines in international memory sports.

The competition highlighted the dedication and skills of these young memory athletes, with their collective success contributing to the Philippines’ rising reputation in the global memory sports arena.
