The 5th Philippine Open Memory Championship was successfully held from June 30 to July 1, 2018, at the Great Eastern Hotel, Quezon City, bringing together top memory athletes from across the region. Organized under the standards of the global memory sports community, the championship featured intense competition across multiple disciplines, all aimed at testing the limits of human recall and mental agility.
Shijir-Erdene BAT-ENKH of Mongolia emerged as the Overall Champion, scoring an impressive 5621 points (adjusted to 5261 under current standards), followed closely by Erwin G. BALINES of the Philippines with 4948 points (4603), and Jamyla Domingo LAMBUNAO, also from the Philippines, who secured third place with 4122 points (3880).
